Are you a teacher or administrator in a public or private school looking for educational fundraising ideas for your students? Look no further! CanWES has a history of providing opportunities for schools in developed nations to take part in an invaluable experience of helping students in impoverished areas of the world.
To date, schools across Canada have been involved in supporting the Everest English School through fundraising ideas created by students. Schools that continually support CanWES and EES include Royal Bay Secondary School, Dunsmuir Middle School, St. Patrick’s Elementary School, Belmont Secondary School, and Ècole John Stubbs Memorial.
Join the “students helping students” concept and contact Troy Harris with your idea at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 250.661.3226.
Royal Bay Secondary School students have raised over $15,000 for the Canadian World Education Society and the Everest English School in Sanitar, Nepal since the opening of the school in 2015. The youth movement toward understanding and assisting in quality education for all, is a tribute to the tremendous human beings that we are fortunate enough to teach on a daily basis.
Belmont Secondary School has been hosting an annual event known as "Indie Night" since 2011. At this event, student bands, dancers, and solo artists perform their craft and delight the audience with their tremendous talent.
KIDS NIGHT OUT
St. Patrick's Elementary School students and staff have been hosting an event that focuses on students helping students. It's a night where the leadership students look after their younger peers in the school while parents get the night off to enjoy some quality parent time.
Over the years, DMS has had numerous groups including Athletic Leadership and Grade 6 and 7 classes donate to the CanWES Cause.
Over the years, John Stubbs has held numerous fundraisers to support the CanWES cause. CanWES thanks the students and staff of 'Ecole John Stubbs for their effort toward providing access to education for impoverished youth in Nepal.
Students at Children's Garden School in Toronto have hosted a variety of fundraisers including pancake breakfasts and bake sales to support CanWES and students of the Everest English School.
The Canadian World Education Society is fortunate enough to be connected to amazing human beings who care about our planet, our environment, and the people who call our world "home".
DoTerra Healing Hands
One of our newest connections comes through the DoTerra Oils organization. Their "Healing Hands" program has been instrumental in helping to support CanWES with their goal to construct additional washrooms for the ever growing Everest English School. CanWES graciously thanks DoTerra for their efforts with the Canadian World Education Society and elsewhere. www.doterrahealinghands.org
RBC and their amazing Westshore Town Centre branch staff have been helping support the CanWES family for years, through their "day of service" as well as event sponsorship at our annual Golf Tournament. CanWES could not have achieved much of their initiative over the past few years without the incredible support of our RBC friends. www.rbc.com/community-social-impact/apply-for-funding
